While we constantly pray and follow with great attention and trust the health conditions of the Holy Father, which are improving very slowly, we share with you all a note of “Prayer for and gesture of closeness to Pope Francis” from the Ecclesiastical Counselor of the Milan Group, don Nazario Costante, which we wish to share with you and through yourselves as Chapter Leaders with all our Members and Friends of the Foundation:
Dear friends of the Foundation,
In this moment of trial for Pope Francis, I invite you to join us in prayer for his health, so that he can overcome this difficulty quickly and well. Our prayer, our desire and our hope unite with those of many, inside and outside the Church, especially the weakest, the victims and those who have known suffering in life. In addition to prayer, we can accompany our thoughts with a small, concrete gesture of closeness: a moment of Eucharistic adoration offered for him, an act of charity in favor of those who are most fragile, or a gesture of attention towards those whom we meet and are most in need of comfort and support. Pope Francis has always forcefully testified to the value of justice, peace, attention to the weakest and care of creation. Now we are the ones who can give back a little of that good, entrusting it with faith to the Lord and testifying with concrete gestures our support.
