‘The issue of debt in vulnerable countries at the time of the Jubilee’ a book published by the Centesimus Annus Pro Pontifice Foundation in Italian (July 2025), is now available also in English. The text addresses and explores the crucial issue of debt in vulnerable countries, a matter that takes on particular significance in this Jubilee Year, when the call for justice and solidarity is linked to the urgent need to promote sustainable and inclusive development. Through a collection of important contributions, the volume analyses the dynamics of a matter rendered even more complex by the worsening of geopolitical conflicts and the progressive weakening of multilateralism, which have accentuated inequalities and compromised international stability. The authors emphasise that the response to this crisis cannot be reduced to technical interventions but requires a moral re-founding of international governance to promote a more equitable and supportive future. A strong and clear appeal emerges from these pages: the time for dialogue and for solving the debt crisis is now. The English edition is due to be published shortly and, together with the Italian edition (already printed and available on request), will be accompanied by a programme of presentations and distribution initiatives, with the aim of promoting constructive dialogue on the debt issue.
